Less manpower, higher productivity. In record time.
Small changes can have a big impact. This is especially true if, like us at Schuster, you rethink the working axis of a lathe - and align it vertically, contrary to the conventional horizontal arrangement.
The advantages are clear: Now several different machining steps can be combined into one process and automated - which saves an enormous amount of time. In addition, the vertical working axis enables a much more compact design and the machine thus has a significantly smaller footprint. This creates the greatest possible production capacity in the smallest possible production area.
The vertical lathes can be used individually or in line as an integrated automation solution. For the complete production of adapter shafts, for example, a fully automated unmanned workflow with a high line cycle of less than one minute is possible. The result: a quality-documented, ready-to-install component in record time.
The integrated grippers, in particular, save time and resources. With their extra-large stroke, they can handle loads of up to 30 kilograms. They are able to feed and discharge the components particularly quickly: in 10 seconds. The quick-change system also enables a rapid jaw change of each gripper in just 30 seconds.
Thanks to the efficient 4-axis machining and synchronous machining, the main times can be reduced to a minimum and cycle times can be achieved that are trend-setting in vertical turning. Simply “Move the Standard“!
