One place, many benefits!
The Bavarian municipality of Denklingen, between Augsburg and Füssen, has a lot to offer. In addition to a strong economy, to which Schuster Maschinenbau also actively contributes, the people here benefit from impressive nature and a vibrant culture, some of which dates back to Roman times. We take a closer look at the region around our company headquarters.
Natural spectacle: The largest contiguous forest area in southern Bavaria and the species-rich River Lech, which Schuster is working to restore to its natural state, offer an authentic nature experience with numerous leisure opportunities. Whether fun and action on the forest adventure trail or hiking and cycling in the footsteps of the Romans, Denklingen offers a wide range of outdoor activities for young and old.
Cultural heritage: Our town has always been rich in history and culture. More than 2000 years ago, the Romans built a military station on the Lorenzberg. The town of “Abodiacum” developed on the site of today's village. The Roman roads Augsburg - Verona (Via Claudia Augusta) and Kempten - Salzburg crossed here. At the shallow ford near Epfach, where the mighty Lech could be crossed safely, the most important road junction in southern Bavaria at the time was created. Roman legions and trade caravans used this passageway on their way between the Alps and the Danube. A so-called miliarium - a milestone indicating the distance to Augsburg - as well as the remains of roads, temples, graves and a Roman villa: numerous archaeological discoveries still bear witness to the extent of Roman occupation today. The museum in Epfbach provides an exciting insight into the life of the Romans.
Economic strength: It is not only Denklingen's enriching nature and history that ensure a high quality of life for its residents. The economic strength of the second-largest industrial location in the Landsberg district as well as the central traffic location and good infrastructure also make Denklingen attractive to employers and employees. Schuster Maschinenbau has been rooted here for over 40 years and, with around 100 clever minds, develops pioneering machine solutions that are exported all over the world.
So there are many good reasons to settle in Denklingen. You can find the right job for you on our careerspage.
